September 20, 1940 – July 22, 2026

Larry W. Morgan, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and hardworking man, passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in Lamar, Missouri, Larry spent most of his life in the Tri-Cities area, where he built a legacy defined by dedication, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.

Larry graduated from Kennewick High School and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving honorably from 1959 to 1964. Following his military service, he returned home and built a career as a skilled carpenter, working throughout both Eastern and Western Washington. His final position was with the Kennewick School District, where he continued his strong work ethic until retiring at the age of 76.

Larry was known as a hardworking man who remained committed to providing for his family throughout his life. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and achieved impressive scores. He also loved biking and spending time outdoors. In later years, he and Patsy cherished traveling together, especially to the Washington and Oregon coasts after retirement. They also enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Mexico, California, Minnesota, Oregon, and many other destinations. Kauai was their absolute favorite place to visit.

For their Honeymoon they toured British Columbia where he also did a few bowling tournaments.  For their 40th wedding anniversary, Larry and Patsy celebrated by biking the Hiawatha Trail, Centennial Trail in Spokane and in North Idaho and later exploring Lopez Island; a reflection of their shared love of adventure, biking and outdoors.

A man of faith, Larry and Patsy became Christians shortly after the birth of their first daughter in 1970. They were active members of Kennewick Baptist Church for many years, where their faith and community connections grew and flourished.

Larry will be remembered for his deep love of family, including his children Kim (David), Natalie (Gerry), Brian (Becca), Shannon, Jared, Tyler (Melissa) and Kendra (Mike), as well as his grandchildren, Corbyn, Kennedy, Kassedy, MacKinley, Easton, Samantha, Addison, Aubree and several great grandchildren. He also shared a special bond with his many animals over the years, reflecting his gentle and caring nature.

He is survived by his loving family and all those whose lives he touched.

A life built on love, faith, and hard work, Larry’s memory will continue to live on through family traditions, holidays, and everyday moments that remind his loved ones of him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
