Lee Paul Scott
Lee Paul Scott, 83, went home to heaven on July 16, 2026, in West Richland, Washington. His final breaths were peaceful and oh so calm with his daughter Lisa and granddaughter Meg at his side. Lee was born on August 7, 1942, in Seattle, Washington.
Lee lived a life marked by intellectual achievement, a deep love for the outdoors, and a steadfast faith.
Lee earned a PhD in Chemistry, dedicating his career to the pursuit of knowledge and scientific discovery. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was known for his adventurous spirit and passion for nature. An Eagle Scout from an early age, Lee carried his love for the outdoors throughout his life. He was an avid backpacker who found joy in exploring the backcountry, a cycling enthusiast who embraced the thrill of the open road, and a skilled downhill skier who relished the beauty of snowy peaks.
Faith played a central role in Lee’s life. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church and participated in numerous missionary endeavors over the years. His belief in God provided him with strength and purpose, as reflected in one of his favorite Bible verses: Job 19:25-26—”I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And even after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.”
Lee cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Wooley (Ted) and her children Meg Conley (Luke) and Jared Miller (Allie), as well as Meg’s son Wayne Conley; Lee’s son Paul Scott (Heather) and their children Laurel Siefert (Michael), Zac Scott, and Mitchell Scott. Lee was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Alice Scott.
He bravely finished his final trail and is now at rest. We say goodbye with tears of joy. We love you Dad!
