Theron Keith Cordray
Keith and his wife, Lana, were great high school friends. I was fortunate enough to be invited to their 50th wedding anniversary celebration. On that visit we also got to watch his granddaughter play basketball. You could tell how close his family was as they were all at the game rooting her on. The only thing I could never understand about Keith was his devotion to the 49ers.

Keith was a good man who gave selflessly of himself to others.
I greatly appreciate the influence he had on my sons and so many others.

I am very sad to hear of Coach Cordray’s passing. He was such a unique, big personality and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had him in my life as a coach and, more importantly, as one of the people who helped shape me – along with many other young men in our community – to be the person I have become.
He was a tough man who demanded hard work, discipline, and accountability, but he was also a guy who genuinely cared about every kid he coached. He gave so generously of his time and taught us lessons that go way beyond playing a game. He showed us what it meant to be a good teammate, he demanded we treat others with respect, and that we always need to bring our best.
The influence he had on me has lasted a lifetime. Many of the values he drilled into us as kids are the same things that I have tried hard to pass onto my own children. I know that I am just one of many lucky kids in our community whose life was made better because of his guidance, encouragement and support.
Lana, Brian, Matt and the rest of the Cordray Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss and I thank you for sharing Coach with all of us. Our community is a better place because of the generosity of his time and he has left such a positive lasting legacy. For myself, and so many of us Colts – we will always remember Coach with gratitude and great respect.
Keith was a wonderful man with great wit and charm. He was worth his weight in gold. I thought the world of him. Because of that, you have my deepest condolences. I sincerely hope knowing that others share in your grief and will bring you some consolation. Plus, I hope his trip to heaven will be first class, he hated flying coach! Love Mike

Dear family,, I have known Keith since he was 13 and he would visit Lana. My parents would bring me to The Dalles just about every summer to spend it with the Harwood family. As children our Grandfather called us Trinket and Treasure and we held those monikers for many years. Keith was always around, he was crazy about Lana. he was the most lovable man and embraced Lana’s family including me. I loved him dearly as my cousins husband. my favorites. l cried when news of his passing reached me. I will never forget him. Rest Well dear Keith, you are so loved

I’ve known Keith for over 45 years. He was a unique individual. He lived by his own rules and had a strong faith. He was a great man and true friend. He coached many young kids and molded their character. He helped make good young men of his boys. We thought a lot of him and your mom. I think of him every day!! He will be sorely missed!

You were such a great family man who always included Cam and I with open arms. Thank you for all the fun memories, especially the WSU/Stanford game and all the Cougar events you included us in. It was a treat to go to dinner with you and Lana last month and I’m glad we got to spend that time together.

Keith was one of a kind. Kind, thoughtful, loving, scary, and a horrible driver but above all else he was an incredible family man. His passion for the Niners was unheralded. He played a very integral part in my life and I will be forever grateful. He will be sorely missed and the world is a little darker without him but wherever he is….just got a lot brighter. Rest in peace, Keith
