Martha Jane Woodcock departed this life for the next on September 14, 2026, with her husband at her side.

She was born Martha Jane White on February 12, 1944, in Santa Maria, California to Allan Kenneth and Betty Ruth White.  Growing up in Santa Maria, she graduated from Santa Maria Union High School and went to work for Camfeldt’s Flowers.  At a beach party she met a young college student named Gerald Woodcock.  Six months later they were married on December 14, 1964.  The young couple lived in San Luis Obispo, California while Jerry finished his degree and started his first job.  While they were there, their two sons were born.  Allan was first, in 1965, followed by Michael in 1968.  In 1969 Jerry was accepted into MBA school in San Diego, and the family moved to Poway, just north of San Diego.  Two years later, after graduation, he took a job at one of the paper mills in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  In 1974, Jerry accepted an offer from Westinghouse Hanford in Richland, and the family moved to the Tri Cities.

Martha went back to school, and took a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Washington University.  She taught in the Pasco School District for twenty-seven years, and made many close friends.

She leaves behind her husband of sixty-one years, Jerry, sons Allan and Michael, daughters-in-law Lenora and Stacey, grandchildren Jacob, Rylee, Ian and Connor, and extended family Phillip and Tricia Buser and their children Olivia, Simon, and Esther.
